Ballet with my lady.

My whole life I wanted to be a ballerina. I think there is something so feminine about it. Seeing a person use their body with such control and grace is magic for the eyes!!! Even the way a ballerina carries their bodies when they are not dancing is with beauty and elegance.

When I turned up pregnant with a girl I knew the second she was old enough she would be in tights.

Evie is only 2 so she is in a class where I get to dance with her, so we are learning together. This short half hour is one of my favorite parts of my week. Seeing her outside of the sibling line up and letting her enjoy something that is just hers has been a joy.

It is also the first time I have seen her been truly challenged and I love that I get to help her work through that. Class starts and ends on time, she wears the leotard and no tutu, we make sure our bun is just right, and we listen when Miss Dona ask us to do something. Guys ballet is a class of obedience and fun! What a perfect combo.

Each week we work with different props or songs and she is learning a ton! He favorite by far are the bars!

On the way out we get to catch a glimpse of the “Big Ballerinas”, we both stand there and stare. I can’t wait to see who this girl becomes but while I get to have a say I love that she is doing something that is about beauty, movement, being creative, and with her Mom.
