How we Landed Here.

Since we have been married we have lived in three different places. First we bought a place because it was close to Jim’s family. The family being close was hard at first but we ended up finding our groove and it was fun to be able to ask for help, have my nieces stop by, and throw a party with no plan. The house was MASSIVE and a dump! When we bought it it needed TONS of work and we were dumb and young enough to think that our barista/climbing the ladder salary would be enough for us to fix up the house and do whatever newlyweds wanted to do. HA!

In the end we sold a very pretty home to some amazing people who love it so much more than we ever could! From there we moved into a, about, 600sq foot apartment.

From what I can remember, it was a warm New Years Eve day when we traded our almost 3,000 to 600sq feet. Y’all we were so excited. We needed a reset. We needed the change and I needed to be downtown!!!! Our friends have a house that includes 2 apartments; Their vision is to live with people and do life with them. This space was just what we needed. We were home right away. When we moved in we were a family of 4 and the small space felt right. 6/7 month in we found out we were pregnant. That day we knew the days in the apartment were numbered. We moved out after being there for a year and a half. Y’all I miss it! I miss having my favorite things at my finger tips, I miss city parks being my back yard, and I miss living with friends!!!!

Honestly there are so many happy photos!!! I need to do a post about the apartment and what it meant to me!

We looked for what felt like forever to land where we did. Guys! The home we ended up buying had everything we wanted in a home! When we saw our current home on zillow we knew we were going to buy it! Y’all she is perfection! (Location is almost perfection, downtown will always have my heart…)

This space is changing each day and I have fully come alive in the decor! Each photo makes me smile and I can’t wait to continue building memories here. When I feel I am pleased with it I’ll do a tour post. :) We are still getting to know the area but people, these 4 walls around us are just what we needed.

I am so excited for more! Is this our forever home??? Probably not but for now we are very content! :)
